Not all fun in Ohio

It's true. It isn't all fun in Ohio. On Sunday, Lydia was having a great time jumping on the trampoline with her cousins and broke her leg in two places. She didn't fall off, just got bounced wrong. It was a long day going to the ER and then being sent to the children's hospital in Columbus, but she is doing great now. She just can't walk for the next 4-6 weeks! Thankfully, Lydia is being very patient just crawling around, however Mike and I aren't really enjoying carrying her everywhere. She gets heavy quickly with her cast on.

That is the saddest thing ever! Poor girl! The timing is perfect. :( Good luck. Oh, I love the pink cast though.

Well to bad it wasn't all so fun but I guess at least it happened at the end and not the beginning so it didn't spoil all her fun with her cousins. Those pictures of her remind me of my sis Lara when she was little, except she had casts on both legs (she had to have surgery on her achilles tendon when she was little). I'm sure you've already discovered but I'll warn you from personal experience those casts hurt when they kick you! :) Of course Lydia is probably nicer to her parents than my sister was to me. :)

That's too bad. I can't imagine being a kid in the summer time with a broken leg.

Hey This is Caralee Newman, I was looking through some older emails and before i totally missed you gave me your blog site! I'm so sorry Lydia's leg is broken! That is hard. Garett broke his arm when he was almost a year. She is so big now and cute! I will send you an invite for our blog too!

Oh by the way Congratulations. We are having a baby too, we miscarried a while ago but now are pregnant again. We are excited! Are you having a boy or girl? Do you remember the Clarks? They just had a little girl about a month ago.

I've been thinking about you! Sorry it took me a few days to comment. I hope that you are able to survive a newborn, Lydia with a broken leg, and moving! I wish I could be there to help!!
