In April, I took an extended vacation- without the children and without Mike. First, I dropped off this . . .
and this at Grandma Hansen's house.
Then I flew to Salt Lake City and drove to Las Vegas with Mike's three sisters. While there, I enjoyed some of this, Chocolate by the Bald Man. This was the best darn hot chocolate I have EVER had- as evidenced by Maria's face.
After a night in Vegas, we continued our trek down to California where I discovered tide pools and that they are not my favorite thing because aside from the crab and occasional star fish, I found them to be 'ooey gooey' as Lydia would call it.
One day, I went here- the San Diego temple. You really do feel like you are in a castle. Wow it was beautiful!
I did a lot of reading on the beach.
Huntington Beach was awfully nice.
The ladies I love who let me tag along.
Of course I had some fun with the nephews and niece.
After Cali, it was time to drive up for some fun with my own family in Idaho.
Finally, Mom and Dad drove me back to Salt Lake, where I caught a plane to Ohio, picked up the kids and drove back to Indiana in time for Easter. It was a wonderful vacation!
