It's a boy!

I had my 20 week ultrasound yesterday and found out that the next mini Hansen will be a boy. After we found out Lydia was a girl, Mike went to buy her a gift, so now it is tradition. After hearing the great news, Mike went shopping in Toy-R-Us and bought a scarlet and gray football for our little tyke. We are both excited, but Mike is REALLY excited! He said we can be done having kids now that he has a son to carry on the Hansen name. Oh jeesh! Although on those nights when I have heartburn and my back is killing, I think I might take him up on that.
With this good news, I find myself in a dilemma. I had a handful of girls names that I liked, but there are no boys names that I have found that I am crazy about. Mike likes William (I think it is too common) and Terrell (Yes, after Terrell Prior who just signed on with the Buckeyes) I like names like Bryce and Logan. What are some of your favorites? We need ideas.

Spring Break

Mike had Spring Break last week and while we didn't get to travel anywhere, we were able to enjoy the nice weather. Lydia loved being outside- and without a jacket even! We even went to the Indianapolis Children's Museum which was wonderful! We were all pooped by the time the day was through. We had our picture taken in the robot exhibit, Lydia had a tea party with some teddy bears, and got to play in the water . . . among many other things. Maybe next time we will get some pictures of the dinosaurs!

Trip to Ohio

Last weekend, we went to Ohio to see Mike's little sister, Maria, perform in "Into the Woods" A comical play weaving together several fairy tales. This is her singing her solo. She was the baker's wife who wants a child, but who also wouldn't mind having a prince. The Hansen household is never boring. For example, I came home from shopping with Mama Hansen to find Lydia dressed like a superhero. Or, when I came into the living room to discover she had been given a sack full of chocolate chips which she was greatly enjoying- as evidenced by her messy face. Probably the most creative thing I saw while I was there was watching Lydia swing on the punching bag. Aunt Kimmy tied blankets around the bag to create pouches for her nieces to sit in and then she proceeded to swing them in the bag. I don't know if Lydia really liked it or not. She sat straight faced almost the whole time. She didn't seem to mind it either- Nor do we mind visiting the Hansen's. It was a great weekend.
(My apologies again on the crooked pictures. I have used the "help" menu and apparently there are problems getting them formatted since I use a Mac. I will keep working on that)

A laugh a day is good for you

I just thought this was really funny and thought I would share in the laughs.
