Summer flies

Why is it that we call it "summer break' when it isn't so much of a break at all.  Summer is crazy.  It goes by so fast!  People are in and out of town, there are camps and Bar-B-Q's.  I love it, but I wish it would slow down.  We bought a pool pass this year, so even on the rainy days, the kids have been requesting to go to the pool.  Lydia has surgery on her leg and after a week started walking on it again.  Jocelyn has started to pull herself up to everything and then gets mad because the only way down she knows is to fall.  Mike is polishing up his thesis and presentation which is scheduled for the first week of July.  I have been busy looking for housing, planning birthday parties, teaching lessons at church, nursing Lydia back to health, going to the pool and just being a mom.
Watch out.  The boys are back in town!
Strawberry picking- 3 days post surgery.  Lydia would sit on her stool and pick everything she could reach and then I would pick her up and move her to a new location.  Having your back hurt after picking strawberries is typical, but this brought it to a whole new level.
Lydia's cake.  It took three days to make- And I had help assembling it the night before.  It was fun to put it together!  Thanks Heidi!
Lydia was DELIGHTED when her Kindergarten teacher came to her birthday party!  She invited her whole class, and most of them came.  We played with some water balloons, had a pinata and played at the park.
Jocelyn at the party.  She was a trooper.
Mike scooping ice cream at the party.
 Blowing out the candles.
I took some photos of Colton with his best buddies.  They weren't much for posing, but we had a good time.
Playing in the puddle that always is out our front door.
Me. I have long hair now.  It's getting there at least.

MIA

You probably think I am missing in action, and now that I am a mother of three, sometimes I guess I am.  I've found it much harder to keep up on things that I enjoy- like my blog, or reading.  I can no longer do these things when it is convenient, because it seems like it is never convenient.  I have to make it a priority or it doesn't happen.  There are just too many other things to do.  For example, as a write this, I am waiting for a quesadilla to cook on the stove . . . better go check it.
Sigh . . .now that the food is done, Jocelyn is awake. My window of opportunity has vanished.  I will quickly post some photos.
Oh, and just so you know- we found out we are moving to Michigan.  We are quite excited.  Though cold, it has lots of outdoor things I think we will love.  The schools are good in the area we will be and we will still be close to family.  Hooray!

Jocelyn's first ponytail.
After running the Taulman mile.  Colton ran the whole way!

 Indiana Dunes.
She didn't even try to eat the sand.
end of year party with a parachute.  Lydia tagged Colton in duck-duck-goose.
 matching jammies.
 Zoo field trip.
 crazy kids.
Colton decided he wanted to be a missionary.  When someone asked him what missionaries do, it proved to be too much pressure.  He changed his mind shortly after and spent the day in his jammies.
Colton's bed for a few nights.  He loved it.  Eventually he decided that he didn't like sleeping in such a cramped position.
Mike took Lydia and Colton to Purdue's spring game.  Boiler Up!
